Te Wānanga Whare Tapere o Takitimu been proudly teaching Māori Performing Arts since 1983. Our teaching is highly regarded, and our alumni have gone on to achieve great things, sharing their knowledge with pride and integrity.
In 2022, Te Vānanga Are Tapere o Takitumu will commence the delivery of their first Tertiary level programmes that will help to revitalise, the language, arts, culture and heritage of the Cook Island people. This will be the first cultural arts programme for the Cook Island people and is supported by the Cook Island Government.
Ultimately, our courses will help you to gain knowledge to grow, nuture and protect our precious taonga, as well as providing you with an excellent foundation for promising career pathways. Your level of background knowledge is no barrier – we welcome beginners and those with more knowledge, of all ages.
